Outline:

Throughout the Spring term 2006 classes will be able to post questions about lambing time. The questions will be answered by the farmer (or his sheep), either by posting messages in a discussion area or by making video clips available online.

Suitable for:

Any age range or level of ability.

Tools available:

The project will make use of private discussion forums and streaming video.

Other opportunities

Schools who wish to visit the farm in the summer term 2006 and see the lambs for real will be able to do so by booking the Fenland Food and Farming day course offered by the Cambridgeshire Environmental Education Service at their Upware Centre. Schools booking early may be eligible for a subsidy on the cost of the course, provided by the farmer with a grant from DEFRA.

Support and Training:

This project does not require prior booking. Simply visit the site and join in.

For those who want, hands-on briefing sessions for school staff participating in the project will be held in the previous half-term on the following dates/times/locations.
