Outline:
In the first half of the
autumn term 2005 participating classes will be sent a number of
mathematical clues. To solve them a selection of websites will have to
be visited. Answers will build up to provide a password to a private area
of the Starz site where successful classes will receive a small 'reward'.
Suitable for:
Aimed at nursery and infant classes.
The activity will be designed for whole class participation (display facilities
(eg whiteboard, data projector) helpful but not essential).
Tools available:
Clues will be sent to schools using the new webmail
system (some as text, some as audio, some as video messages). Otherwise
just requires internet access.
Outcomes:
Online 'hall of fame' for classes successfully completing
the trail.
