All secondary schools were invited to become part of the professional development network in 2005. Eight schools successfully applied and have benefitted from having funding and professioanl development meetings to develop a project that focussed on raising standards in teaching and learning, over a 2-year period. Four schools took this through to a 3rd year and successfully presented their work at the 2008 Cambridgeshire Secondary PE Conference. The schools involved were: Bassingbourn Village College, Cottenham Village College, Comberton Village College, Gamlingay Village College, Neale Wade Community College, Swavesey Village College and Witchford Village College.
