Maths +
Maths+ groups meet for mathematical problem solving sessions and are suitable for exceptionally able pupils in Years 5 and 6.  The aim is to offer some provision for pupils whose ability is such that they may be isolated from peers, and for whom it may be very difficult to provide sufficient challenge within the daily maths lesson.  It is not possible to offer places to all able, or very able children, so no more than two places will be offered to any school.

During  2007-8, we are running groups in Comberton, St Neots and Cottenham.  The groups are open to children from any primary school, and are not run specifically for groups of feeder schools for any of the secondary schools in these areas.  If you would like to know more, or request a place, please contact Jane Crowden.  (Telephone 01480 376146 or email jane.crowden@cambridgeshire.gov.ukPlaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis following discussion with a member of the maths team.
