The National Curriculum for KS1 and KS2 includes the following requirements.

Children at KS1 and 2 should be taught to recognise that there are hazards in living things, materials and physical processes, and assess risks to themselves and others.

A 'Be safe!' INSET pack is available from ASE at a cost of £18 (non-members) or £14 (members).
