 Information Technology Support and Advice

Who can help me with IT issues I am experiencing?

Your options when seeking
advice in matters relating to your Information Technology set up are numerous.

Primarily, if you are experiencing problems with an existing set up, we recommend that you check the terms of the contract you signed when you originally let your IT contract. It is conceivable that you are still entitled to an inclusive customer care agreement. If in doubt call your supplier and ask, the cheapest invoice you will ever get is the one you do not have to pay!

If you have no existing agreement and you or your IT equipment is in need of specialist support and/or advice then you could explore either of the following options: -

  1. Contact the Council's own Education ICT department.
  2. Utilise an existing Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation contract.

The Council's own Education ICT team, details and links to the right, offer a technical advice service. You can contact them, or use the helpful how to guides from the links to the right, to sort out any problems you are encountering.

Alternatively you can utilise the ESPO contract 113 which features a number of companies that are willing and able to assist you in your IT related problems. Simply contact any of the companies listed in the ESPO Dealing Direct catalogue remembering to quote ESPO contract 113. For your convenience a copy of the pages from Dealing Direct ia also to the right under "Documents".

The ESPO 113 contract is entirely compliant with the Contract Regulations for Schools. Despite this we at PASS would recommend that you still establish at least three quotations from different providers to ensure you receive the most comprehensive deal, in doing so establishing best value.

If you have any questions in relation to the procurement of IT support and advice please do not hesitate to contact PASS, details to the right.
