Legionella monitoring and testing
Currently a number of schools are sourcing external suppliers to provide the provision of Legionella monitoring and testing. This testing might be arranged through your schools ongoing property management service. If you are unsure please check with your property manager.
The supply of this service from an external provider can be rather expensive, there is another, corporate, solution that can potentially save significant amounts of money.
The County Council has a corporate agreement with Rentokil for the provision of a managed advisory service which encompasses the training of existing staff to undertake all Legionella safeguarding.
Rentokil visit the schools either annually or two yearly to ensure that the correct monitoring procedures are being carried out.
If you would like further information on this subject then you can contact Phil Hill here at the County Council (details to the right) or you can contact Neil Tod (again details to the right) directly at Rentokil, referencing the County Council Corporate arrangement to ensure you are on the correct contract.
